Nah I genuinely want this. The garbage reboot, gender bend, try to make it new and edgy remakes are trash. This is basically what we would get had Lion King come out this year. Back in 94 it was animated and the pinnacle of animation. 25 years later we get an homage with the pinnacle of CGI. (they're using skeletal and muscle framework to create lifelike movement!)

Obviously nothing beats the originals, but I really liked the Jungle Book live action remake . And it’s been 25 years since the original lion king so I will be interested in seeing how they do one of my all time favorite Disney movies.

By the way they already released teasers for both Du mbo and Alladin.

I can’t believe this AND a live action Pokémon movie are coming in the same year.

I had a very charrished Simba pillow as a kid and The Lion King is still dear to my heart. Doing a remake of it is a HUGE undertaking that could totally backfire.
